Welcome to International School of Finance, Fudan University (FISF). FISF is one of the youngest members of Fudan University. A world-renowned university with over a century of illustrious history, Fudan University was first established in 1905, the same year the Chinese imperial examination system was officially abolished. The founding of this great university was the first step in achieving China’s grand vision for its intellectuals of exploring the world of higher education as a means to rescue and revitalise the nation. Program Overview

Global Bachelor of Finance

GBF is a four-year full-time undergraduate finance program with a focus on data analytics and technology applications. It provides students with a comprehensive background in finance, business, data science and fin-tech, together with an in-depth understanding of China in a global environment. Elective courses are offered in 2 specialized fields: financial practices and quantification technology.

Our graduates would be well equipped to accept the positions with top investment banks and leading commercial banks, as well as to be employed in corporate and government financial management or in consulting. Finance majors are also fully prepared for graduate studies, such as in business analytics, finance, or the law.

Academic Advisory System

Our program provides a wide variety of student-orientated academic services, counseling, and resources in the effort to help students overcome the difficulties encountered in the learning process and navigate their university life in a well-supported manner.

Level-1 Academic Advisors

• Full-time administrative staff.

• Answering and consulting with students on specific academic affairs-related regulations, systems and policies.

• Providing timely feedback to the school on students’ opinions and suggestions and following up.

• Keeping track of students' academic performance and activating the student management mechanism at any time.

What you will learn?

In accordance with the requirements of the "2+X" Undergraduate Training System of Fudan University, the major starts from both general education and professional training to strengthen the foundation of personal development, while providing various development paths such as regular major path, cross-disciplinary path, innovation and entrepreneurship path, etc.

The core courses cover classical financial theory, application of technology in the financial field, as well as many credit-bearing practicums courses. We also offer two major elective modules, "Financial Practice" and "Quantitative Technology", to provide students with an international, interdisciplinary, personalized and hands-on training system.

Experiential Learning

We encourage students to discover their potential, be inspired by others, and explore the world at large. We provide opportunities for students to practice their emergent skills. Study Trip

Through study and investigation, students can experience different cultural backgrounds and teaching modes, learn new knowledge and make new friends, and have academic exchanges with professors of universities in various countries, so as to understand their majors more clearly.
Case Competition

Participating in the case competition gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have acquired in class to the real world. Students also acquire skills that employers need, such as public speaking, problem solving, working in teams, working under pressure, and finding creative solutions.
Social Practice

A variety of social practice activities can increase the opportunities for students to communicate with people from different backgrounds, experience different work, life and links, so as to understand the real society, gain rich practical experience, and promote personal and professional development.

Student Teaching Assistant Scheme

Students will have the opportunity to act as the assistant of the professor, assist the professor in some daily teaching work, or help students solve learning problems, and improve their academic level through these activities.

Student Research Fellow Program

Students will have the opportunity to participate in the professor's research projects as research assistants, which can enable students to improve their research ability, broaden their research horizons, and other academic research skills. At the same time, students can also determine their future career direction earlier.

International Exposure

To cultivate graduates with a global perspective, FISF offers a wide range of international exchange opportunities for students, Fudan’s global partners including prestigious universities in the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.

The international exchange opportunity enables students to expand their vision, experience different cultures, enrich their academic portfolios from multiple dimensions, establish network with people from diverse backgrounds, and gain a more in-depth understanding of their future studies and careers.

FISF seeks to inspire and empower each student, to develop their full potential, and to enable them to grow into leading talent in the business domain through well-developed student-oriented career services.

Against this backdrop, the GBF Program career support team is dedicated to provide impartial career services to support students at FISF and beyond. We'll work with students from day one to discover a variety of job opportunities, channel industry resources and alumni network in the financial industry domestically and internationally to help students achieve their career goals.
